Menu and ordering redesign
Cantina, The Block Denver
The redesigned food menuDetail, readable type and clear sections
Cantina is a new Denver restaurant with a food truck style flow: order drinks at the bar, hand your order sheet over, take a pager, and pick up tacos at the window.
Food menuOrder sheet
Problem
Cantina opened with simple in house menus and a typed order sheet. They covered the basics, but the type was small and dense, centered lists were hard to scan, and nothing looked like the Cantina brand. The counter ordering flow relied on a plain typed form.
Solution
Stewart redesigned the food menu and the order sheet. On the menu, the tacos sit in one bold panel with large type and dotted lines leading each item to its price, under clear section headers for tacos, botanas, bowls and extras. On the order sheet, the centered, boxed rows became a left aligned list with a quantity line for each item and a protein choice to circle for nachos, taco salad, queso and the bowl. Both pieces share one teal and orange look with matching borders and the armadillo, tied to the Cantina logo.
Result
Feedback from the team: the staff love the new menu and the owner is happy with it.

Client names and marks belong to their owners. Mario's Pizzeria and Revolution Salon were client projects created by Stewart Fisher before Redfield Creative. The Monarch pieces were created in house while he worked at Monarch Casino Resort Spa, and Monarch names, marks and photography belong to Monarch Casino Resort Spa. The Pets for Patriots wrap was created during an internship at Karsh Hagan, and its names and marks belong to their owners. Student and concept work was made in school. Hotel, brewery and whiskey names, marks and photography belong to their owners and do not imply any partnership.

Why Redfield

Redfield is local, knows hospitality and print, and works from your approved prices and facts so nothing goes out wrong.
Stewart Fisher, Founder
About
Design that works in the real world.
Redfield Creative is a Colorado design studio founded by Stewart Fisher. Stewart has spent years designing for busy hospitality environments: menus, promotions, large format signage, event campaigns and the brand systems that hold them together. He has worked in house as a multimedia designer on a resort marketing team, producing menus, signage, advertisements and event materials, and he has run his own freelance design studio since 2018. He studied marketing at the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business and graphic and web design at The Art Institutes.
What that means for you: someone who understands both the guest experience and the print shop, who checks the details before they cost you a reprint, and who is easy to reach.
When he is not designing, you will find Stewart on a mountain bike, a snowboard or the ice.
